San Diego Pro-Cathedral – Silay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines


The San Diego Pro-Cathedral, formerly known as the St. Didacus Parish, is an early 20th-century church in Silay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines, was declared as a pro-cathedral on December 25, 1994.

The first church was established in the 18th century built with mostly light temporary materials. A more permanent structure was built in the 1840s, but the grand church structure in its present form began construction on 1925 and completed and inaugurated in 1927.

The church is unique in the province of Negros Occidental due to its cupola or dome structure.
