Baclaran Church (National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help) – Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines

Officially as the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, the church is also known as Redemptorist Church, or by locals as the Baclaran Church. It is one one of the most popular and iconic churches in Metro Manila, located along Roxas Boulevard in Baclaran, Parañaque City.

Baclaran Church dates back to 1932 when Redemptorist missionaries established a small wooden chapel dedicated to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. Over the years, the church went through several renovations and expansions to become one of the largest Marian churches in the Philippines.

The shrine boasts a Modern Romanesque architectural style designed by architects Cesar Concio and his associate Jesse Bontoc. The building can accommodate a seating capacity of 2000 people but can fit 11,000 people (standing) within the shrine’s complex.

The shrine was declared an Important Cultural Property by the National Museum of the Philippines on June 27, 2023 which is also the feast day of Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
